8th Grade Trip to Washington D.C.
Finally, it's time for our much awaited trip to DC. Everyone is excited, however, I have a sinking feeling that this will be less of a week of enjoyment and more of a week-long course in American history. Our teacher, Mr. Merrill, who has a special affinity for rubber duckies, has directed us to journal our entire trip. For my journal, I will be blogging all my entries instead of writing them so I can add pictures. I will also be borrowing one of Mr. Merrill's ducks so I can create a "duckumentary" (you'll see what I mean when I post it). I'm very excited to be visiting some of the places that we have studied about in class and I really want to go to Colonial Williamsburg where interpreters reenact what actually happened in the 1700s. I hope this trip is interesting, educational, but most of all, I just want to have fun with my friends.
